Dymchurch Beach

Dymchurch Beach: Dymchurch’s long sandy beach is about a five-minute walk from the park entrance — flat, wide and made for buckets, spades and long barefoot walks. At low tide the sand stretches out for what feels like miles.

The beach runs the length of the village seafront, with the sea wall and promenade behind it when you’d rather keep the sand out of your shoes. Just along the coast, St Mary’s Bay is quieter still — a good pick for the days you’d like the shore mostly to yourselves.

Getting there

Walk out of the park entrance and you’re on the sand in about five minutes. For a bigger sandy day out, Camber Sands is a short drive along the coast.
